Brenda Gaddy Wilson

Brenda Sue Gaddy Wilson, 65, of 510 S. Caroline St., Rockingham, died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Wilson was born September 4, 1944 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Sherwood and Bessie Bristow Gaddy. She had retired from Burlington Industries where she was employed in the Prep Department. She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Gaddy and a sister, Bobbi Idol. Surviving are her husband, Randy Wilson of the home; sons, Steve Wilson, David Wilson, both of Oak Island, Robert “Boo” Wilson of Rockingham; daughters, Sherry Hunter of Gibson, Dana Michelle Cassidy of Cordova; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Sonny Gaddy of Florida, Steve Gaddy of Oak Island, Raymond Gaddy, Terry Gaddy, both of Cordova; and sisters, Phyllis Baker of Cordova and Linda Everett of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Price officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times at Phyllis Baker’s home, 269 Ledbetter St. Cordova.
