Jerry Lee Shephard

Jerry Lee Shephard, 43, of 3691 US 220 Hwy N, Norman, NC died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at his home. Mr. Shephard was born July 7, 1966 in Moore County, a son of Margaret Godfrey Shephard and the late John W. Shephard. He was a member of Norman Baptist Church and attended Saron Baptist Church. He graduated from Hugh M. Cummings High School in Burlington, from Richmond Community College and was a conductor with CSX Railroad. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, John W. Shephard, Jr.. Surviving are his wife, Betty Levon Shoe Shephard of the home; sons, Jerry L. Shephard, Jr and Andrew H. Shephard, both of the home; daughter, Tiffany L. Shephard of Wagram; mother, Margaret G. Shephard of Norman; sisters, Doris Warwick and Mary Murdock, both of Ellerbe. Funeral services will he held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Saron Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Stanford officiating. Interment will follow in Norman Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home in Norman.
