Bernie Dwight Watts

Mr. Bernie Dwight Watts, 82 of 170 Mill St. Rockingham died Monday, April 19, 2010 at his home. He was born November 19, 1927 in Richmond County a son of the late Rosher Lloyd and Kate Jacobs Watts. He was retired from CSX as a foreman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Phillip Huber officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Dorothy McIntyre Watts of the home, one son Mark Rogers of Raleigh, two daughters Angela Godwin of Laurinburg and Jennifer Chappell of Hamlet and a step-daughter Jacquelyn Preslar of High Falls, four Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham and at other times at the home.
