Dannie Lee Greene

Dannie Lee Greene, 48, of 117 Racoon Rd. Ellerbe, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at his home. Dannie was born September 9, 1957 in Richmond County, a son of Arthur and Susie Shepard Greene. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, a graduate of Richmond Senior High School, Class of 1976 and was employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation in Rockingham. Surviving are his wife, Karen McKay Greene of the home, their children, Laura, Marcus and Daniel Greene all of the home, parents. Arthur and Susie Greene of Ellerbe, brother and sister in law, Ronnie and Janet Greene of Hamlet, sisters and brother in law, Diane and B.F. Darnell and Linda White all of Ellerbe. A service to celebrate Dannie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ellerbe with Rev. Thurman Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Greene’s Cemetery. The family will see friends from 5:00- 8:00 PM Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home on Racoon Rd.
