Peggy Meyers Williams

Mrs. Peggy Meyers Williams, 76, of 207 Broad St. Hamlet died Monday, September 11, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Williams was born June 7, 1930 in Columbia, SC a daughter of the late Gertie Meyers. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband Bill Willams, son Billy Williams, daughter Tammy Williams, and a grandson John Paul Shepard. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev Joe Wilkes and Rev Russell Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Northam Cemetery. Surviving are sons Eddie Williams and Kenneth “Bang” Williams of the home, daughters Gertie Parker, Elaine “Fannie” Perkins both of Hamlet, Debbie Sue Ricks of Rockingham, Clara “Tadpole” Williams and Linda Gail Williams of the home, brothers Buster Meyers and Blackie Meyers of Charleston, SC, 6 grandchildren and 9 great greandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Broad St. in Hamlet.
