Charles Davis

Mr. Charles Rodney Davis, 59, of 162 North Shore Trail, Rockingham died Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at his home. Mr. Davis was born May 7, 1947 in Lee County, a son of the late Charlie and Mildred Davis. He retired from aircraft maintenance with the United States Air Force after 23 years of service. He was a member of the O’tuel’s Breakfast Club. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, September 15th in the Richmond Memorial Park Mausoleum with Reverend Marshall Norris officiating. Entombment will follow with full military honors. Surviving are his wife Gayle Benoist Davis of the home, son Charles R. Davis, Jr. of Rockingham, brother Garry Davis of Rockingham, sister Phyllis Gibson of Hamlet, and one granddaughter. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other time at the home on North Shore Trail.
