John Robert Mauldin, Jr.

John Robert Mauldin, Jr., 37, of Sandy Ridge Church Rd., Rockingham, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Britthaven of Hamlet. Mr. Mauldin was born September 25, 1972 in Montgomery County, a son of Nancy Puckett Chappell and the late John Robert Mauldin. He was a member of Jefferson Park Free Will Baptist Church and had been employed with Southern Crane. Surviving are his son, Raymond Mauldin of Nebraska; daughter, Adeline Mauldin of Nebraska; Mother and Step-father, Nancy and Carl Chappell of Rockingham; Half-brother, Keith Chappell of Rockingham; and Half-sisters, Ella Chappell Ingram of Candor and Candy Chappell Webster of Hamlet. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Jefferson Park Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Webster officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the church and at other times at Carl and Nancy Chappell’s home, 156 Sandy Ridge Church Rd.
