Lester Brown

Mr. Lester Brown, 85, of 156 Bateman St., Rockingham died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Britthaven of Hamlet. Mr. Brown was the owner and operator of Brown’s Garage for many years. He was a military veteran, with service in the U. S. Army. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Rev. Chuck McKnight officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park with military honors. Surviving are children, Lloyd Brown and wife Linda of Dalton, GA; Sharon Sidoti and husband Anthony of Andrews, NC; Tony Brown of Robbins, NC; Clifford Brown of Aberdeen, NC; Mary Brown of Seagrove, NC; Richard Barnhill and wife Tina of Hamlet, NC; and Joey Barnhill of Hamlet. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Mae Brown in 1998.
