Stephen " Buddy" James Shepard

Stephen James “ Buddy” Shepard, 62, of 113 Nelson Farm Rd. Rockingham, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at his home. Mr. Shepard was born August 28, 1947 in Richmond County, a son of the late Tebe and Reba Mauney Shepard. He had served his country in the US Army and had been employed with Allen Brothers Timber Company. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Delores Dawkins Shepard of the home; son , Greg Shepard of Rockingham; daughters, Mandy Blue of Yadkinville, Amber Shepard of Hamlet; brother, Odel Shepard of Rockingham; sisters, Ada Hagler of Shallotte. Shelia Walters of Patrick, SC and Ruby Hudson of Rockingham; and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday in the Ellerbe Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Eddins officiating. Interment will follow in Norhtham Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at Carter Funeral Home Ellerbe and at other times at the home on Nelson Farm Rd.
