Margaret Godfrey Shephard

Mrs. Margaret Marie Godfrey Shephard, 82 of Norman died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at her home. She was born September 15, 1927 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Hugh and Maie Bennett Godfrey. She was a housewife and a member of Saron Baptist Church. In addition she was preceded in death by her husband John Shephard in 2003 two sons John Shephard Jr. and Jerry Shephard and one Grandson Timothy Warwick. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 25, 2010 at Saron Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Stanford officiating. Interment will follow at Norman Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters Doris Warwick and Mary Murdock both of Ellerbe and seven Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home of Ellerbe and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Saron Baptist Church, P.O.
