John Lewis Blakley

John Lewis Blakley, 57, of 1089 N. US Hwy 1 Rockingham, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. John was born July 22, 1952 in Richmond, VA, a son of Joyce Chalkley Blakley and the late Floyd Blakley. John had worked in the parts department of several local auto dealerships and currently was parts manager for Advance Auto in Aberdeen. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Blakley. Surviving are his wife, Tina Harden Blakley of Rockingham; son, Chad Blakley of Rockingham; daughter, Alanna Young and husband Donavan of Rockingham; grandchildren, Lydia and Piper Young; mother, Joyce Blakley of Randleman; sisters, Jean Crane of Randleman and Terry Patton of Greensboro; and dear family friend, Larry Bailey of Reidsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the Young home, 301 Lakeland Dr, Rockingham.
