Billy Mercer

Billy Mercer, 65, of 611 Roberdel Rd. Rockingham, died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at his home. Billy was born December 6, 1940 in Robeson County, a son of the late William A. and Lois Barnes Mercer. He had been a floor installer with Rex’s Floor Covering. Surviving are his wife, Carol Folsom Mercer of the home, son, Charles Mercer of Southern Pines, brother, David Mercer of Sunset Beach and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Turner and Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Private interment will be held in Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton. The family will see friends following the service Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home on Roberdel Rd. .
