Rev. Everett Lee Kelly, 78, of 449 US Hwy 1 South, Rockingham entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 10, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Rev. Kelly was born March 20, 1932 in Montgomery County, a son of the late Robert L. and Gracie Shepard Kelly. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was the corporate secretary of All-Pro Plumbing and Construction, Inc., a member of Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church in Laurel Hill and the former pastor of the Norman Church of God of Prophecy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 15, 2010 in the Carter Funeral Home Colonial chapel in Rockingham with Rev. Jerry Goins and Rev. Mike Lisk officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park with military honors. Rev. Kelly is survived by his wife, Mable Dunlap Kelly of the home; two sons, Everett L. Kelly, Jr and wife Bonnie of Rockingham and Joel D. Kelly and wife Sandra of Savannah, GA; two sisters, Velvie Crumley of Kannapolis and Doris Blake of Norwood; one brother, Robert Kelly of Aurora, IL, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at the home.
