Lucy Taylor

Lucy Rainwater Taylor, 91, of Rockingham died Friday , July 16, 2010 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mrs. Taylor was born August 26, 1918 in a daughter of the late Zack and Lucy Grice. She had retired from Klopman Mills. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Weldon Rainwater and Ollie Taylor. Surviving are her daughters, Betty Yates of Cheraw, S.C., Charlotte Mitchell of Fairmont, Vivian Freeman and Judy Walters, both of Rockingham; sons, Zack Rainwater and Bill Rainwater, both of Rockingham; sisters Sarah Morrow, Eliza Buck; brother, William Grice; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday July 18, 2010 in the Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel . Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 2:45 –3:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
