Charles ‘James’ Cagle, Jr., 64, of 66 2nd Avenue, Rockingham died Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet. He was born November 5, 1941, a son of the late Charles Hughes Cagle and Bertie Mae Collins Cagle. Mr. Cagle was a member of Sweet Haven Church. He was the retired owner of Richmond Retread. Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Wednesday, October 18th at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Marsha Sheila Cagle of the home; a son, Jeffery Cagle of Rockingham; three daughters, Pammy C. McCormick and Cammy C. Johnson, both of Ellerbe, and Christy C. Seawell of Carthage; five grandchildren; two brothers, Burney Cagle of Ellerbe and Eddie Cagle of Rockingham; and two sisters, Barbara Brady of Cheraw and Shirley Smith of Sanford. Mr. Cagle was preceded in death by a daughter, Gladys C. Shaw. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at the McCormick home, 115 Jones Springs Church Rd., Ellerbe.
