Louise Vuncannon

Mrs. Louise Ford Vuncannon, 88, of Fordtown Rd., Rockingham died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center. She was born December 24, 1921 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Pete and Ila Thrower Ford. Mrs. Vuncannon loved flowers and enjoyed the flowers in her yard. Funeral services will be conducted graveside 11 am Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Mt. Calvary Rock of Ages Church Cemetery in Rockingham with Rev. Alex Perakis officiating. Surviving are her children, Glenda Goodwin and Larry Vuncannon, both of Rockingham; two grandchildren, Teresa V. Perakis of Rockingham and Shannon G. Gathings of Hamlet; and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Vuncannon was preceded in death by her husband, Worth Vuncannon; daughter, Hilda McDuffie; and her siblings, Clara Ruth Norton, Lucille Bowen, Clyde Ford, and Bob Ford.
