Beatrice Veach

Mrs. Mary Beatrice ‘Bea’ Veach, 83, of 137 Gardenia Street, Rockingham died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born October 19, 1926 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Stuart Clack. Mrs. Veach was a member of First Assembly of God. She worked for a number of years in textiles and, for the last several years, was known as Miss Bea, the greeter at WalMart. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, August 1, 2010 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Gene Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving are her children, Larry Veach and Garry Veach, both of Rockingham, and Kathy V. Swails of Sanford; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mrs. Veach was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Veach, in 1997. Memorials may be sent to First Assembly of God, 160 Clemmer Rd., Rockingham. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at 137 Wiregrass Rd., Rockingham.
