Leon Terry

Leonard Leon Terry, 70, formerly of Elder St., Rockingham died Friday, July 30, 2010 at Rockingham Manor. He was born August 22, 1939 in Richmond County, a son of the late Jasper and Rosa Morgan Terry. Mr. Terry was retired from TNS Mills. He was a member of Rourk Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and on the cemetery committee. Mr. Terry was a graduate of Ellerbe High School, class of 1957. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, August 2, 2010 at Rourk Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are his sons, Danny Terry and wife Vicky of Cordova and Randy Terry and wife Betty Ann of Ellerbe; sisters, Jo Ann English of Rockingham and Rachel Russell of Ellerbe; brothers, Ralph Terry of Rockingham and Charles Terry of Ellerbe; grandchildren, Traci Brown and husband Matthew, Ashley Terry, Amanda Terry, Dewayne Hicks, and Kenneth Hicks; and great grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Parrish, Nadira Brown, Sierra Brown, and Nathaniel Parker. Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Terry and second wife, Martha Terry; and brothers, Van Terry, Jack Terry, and Lewis Terry.
