John Robert Clarke

Mr. John Robert Clarke Sr., 77 of Rockingham died Friday August 6, 2010 at his home. Mr. Clarke was born January 25, 1933 in Moore County a son of the late Jesse and Josephine Key Clarke. He helped build Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the church. He retired from TNS Mills and also from The County of Richmond where he worked in the mapping department. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife Peggy Lampley Clarke of the home one son John Clarke Jr. of Belews Creek N.C. three daughters Kathy C Arnold of Rockingham, Judy C. Parker of Knightdale, and Linda C Quick of Hamlet; two brothers Carl Clarke of Rockingham and Charles Clarke of Fall Church, Va. And one sister Mildred O’Brien of Rockingham; six Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday August 9, 2010 at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Kenneth Baber officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
