Hazel Carpenter Linton

Mrs. Hazel Carpenter Linton, 78 of Rockingham died Tuesday August 31, 2010 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Hazel was born February 13, 1932 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Frank and Roxie Quick Carpenter. She was a homemaker and a dedicated and loving wife and mother to her children and her husband. She is survived by her husband William Bobby Linton, two daughters Roxanne Knight and husband Gene of Rockingham and Sandra Teeters and husband Steve of Hamlet, Grandchildren Amanda Norton Williams, Trey, Travis, and Hunter Knight, Trina Teeters Williams, Amber Teeters, Brittany Teeters Yarbrough; Great Grandchildren Trace Williams, Bianca Williams, Joshua, Luckais, and Chandler Yarbrough. Two sisters Lucille Carpenter of Cordova and Sarah Maxwell of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held Friday September 3, 2010 at 11:00A.M. at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Dr. Jerry English, Rev. Joe Wilkes, and Bishop Marvin Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and at other times at the home.
