Theodore Bledsoe

Theodore Bledsoe, 82, of 1912 Surginor Rd. Rockingham, died Friday, November 10, 2006 at his home. Mr. Bledsoe was born April 2, 1924 in Scotland County, a son of the late George and Betsy Alice Bledsoe. He had retired from the US Navy after 23 years of service, was a Purple Heart recipient and a member of the VFW. Surviving are his wife Phoebe Lupton Covington Bledsoe of the home, a son Gene Bledsoe of Charlotte, and 2 grandchildren. Also surviving are step daughters, Teresa Uzzell of Vermont, Joy Davis of Florida, Christy Rodden, Lynn Simpson and Leslie Steen all of Rockingham. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Eastside Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Schronce will officiate. The family will see friends from 12:30 – 1:30 PM Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Surginor Road. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
