Priscilla Gathings King

Priscilla Ann Gathings King, 57, of 249 Sneads Mill Rd. Rockingham, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mrs. King was born September 20, 1949 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Gene and Esther Driggers Gathings. She was a founding member of Sweet Haven Church, was active in the Ladies Auxillary and loved working with children in the nursery. She was employed with Burlington Industries for 24 years. Surviving are her husband Toby Lee King of the home, son , Toby Lee King, Jr and wife Dena of Rockingham, daughter, Cheryl McCormick and husband David of Rockingham, grandchildren, Crystal Campbell, Michelle King and Dustin McCormick, great grandchildren, Katie and Tristan Campbell. A service to celebrate the life of Priscilla King will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Entombment will follow in the Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at Sweet Haven Church and at other times at the McCormick home, 113 Westwood Dr., Rockingham.
