William Lloyd Johnson Sr.

Mr. William Lloyd Johnson Sr. 96, of Rockingham died Tuesday October 26, 2010 at St. Joseph’s of the Pines in Pinehurst. Mr. Johnson was born January 11, 1914 in Chesterfield County S.C. A son of the late John W. and Mattie Wallace Johnson. He was a member of Roberdell Baptist Church and retired from Merita Bread Company as a salesman. He was preceded in death by his wife Sallie McBride Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M Saturday October 30, 2010 at Roberdell Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Smith and Rev. Jerry Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. He is survived by one son Van Johnson of Baytown,Texas and one daughter Anne Johnson Amos of Wilmington N.C. one sister Alice Scoggins of Columbia S.C., 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
