Edman Wright

Edman Wright, 89, of 467 Fox Rd., Marston, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at home. Mr. Wright was born March 21, 1921 in Jefferson County, Alabama, a son of the late Henry and Rebecca Clark Wright. He had served his country during World War II in the US Army and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and a retired landscaper. His wife, Gracie Jean Shinn Wright and a son, Stanley Wright, preceded him in death. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Edmond and Martha Wright, with whom he made his home; grandchildren, Stanley Wright, Jr. of Birmingham, AL, Tracy Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC, Candy Wright of St. Paul, MN and great grandchildren, Cierra Wright and Ethan Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie McLean officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 7:00 – 8:30 PM Thursday at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the home on Fox Rd. Memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 987 N.
