Lillie Lowery Mills

PAID Lillie Lowery Mills, 81, a resident of the Lutheran Home of Hickory, formerly of Rockingham, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Lutheran Home. Mrs. Mills was born June 6, 1925 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late James C. and Eva Mae Lucas Lowery. She was a member of Sweet Haven Church in Rockingham and had retired from Richmond Yarns in Ellerbe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Adam Mills in 1995. Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Dianne and Dale Lawing of Conover, NC, Maxine and Danny Allen of Wilmington, NC, grandchildren, Dana and Jonathan McCall, Katie and Michael Hayes and Hilary Allen, and a great grandson, Spencer A. Hayes. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Sweet Haven Church in Rockingham with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lutheran Home of Hickory, 1265 21st St NE, Hickory, NC 28601 or to Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658.
