John Randolph Braddock, 83 , of Battley Dairy Rd, Rockingham died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at his home. Mr. Braddock was born December 30, 1922 in Camden, S.C. a son of the late John Randolph and Carrie Elizabeth Horton Braddock. He had served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II, was a member of Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church and had retired from Burlington Industries after 39 years of service. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Hopkins, Alice Oates, Christabelle Carter, Nan Gregory, Velma Melton, Lillian Welch, Eva Wright, Fannie Adcock, Dillia Braddock and an infant sister. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, ,Bernice Robison Braddock of the home, sons and daughter in laws, Jimmy and Kathy Braddock, David Braddock, Robbie and Diane Braddock, Donald and Ginny Braddock all of Rockingham, daughters and son in law, Patty and Johnny Newton of Cary, Sharon Jimenez of Rockingham, 9 grandchildren Carrie Newton Kelly, Joannie Newton Pike, Christy Benton, Christy Braddock Pankey, Jacqueline Braddock Adkins, David Braddock, II, Justin Braddock, Josh Braddock, Jordan Jimenez, and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday at Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Lee and Rev. Johnny Newton officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park with military honors. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home on Battley Dairy Rd.
