Vida Johnson Byrd

Mrs. Vida Johnson Byrd, 93 of 109 Hannah Pickett 1st Ave. Rockingham died Friday, November 26, 2010 at Britthaven of Hamlet. Mrs. Byrd was born October 11, 1917 in Johnston County a daughter of the late David I. And Vaden Harper Johnson. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Rockingham. She retired from J.P. Stevens Mill where she was a spinner. She is survived by her husband Lenell Byrd, one son Willard Page and wife Judy of Hamlet one step-daughter Pamela Watts, one sister Annie Ruth Tally of Erwin, three grandchildren Mac Page, Leslie Page, and Tracy Page, and one step-grandchild Richelle Taylor; and two great grandchildren Eli Page, and Mitchell McCue. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of God of Prophecy on Flowers St. with Rev. Steven Gilmer and Rev. Buford Lanter officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Church of God of Prophecy of Flowers St. and at other time at 109 Hannah Pickett 1st Ave. Memorial may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy % Building Fund 139 Flowers St. Rockingham N.C. 28379
