John Malcolm Thompson

John Malcolm Thompson, of 614 N. Washington St. Hutchinson, KS, formerly of Hamlet, died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at his home. Mr. Thompson was born May 31, 1945 in Florence County, SC a son of the late Lonnie Malcolm and Kathleen Munn Thompson. He served his country in the US Army, was a member of West Rockingham United Methodist Church, had been employed by Sherwin Williams Co. for over 20 years and later with Pelican Builders Supply and Rockingham Paint and Glass. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Collins Thompson. Surviving are daughters, Susan Keziah of Cordova, Amy Fletchall of Hutchinson KS, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at West Rockingham United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Chandler officiating. Entombment will follow privately in the Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will see friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Research.
