Dennis Beck

Dennis Lamar Beck, 63, of 237 Ledbetter St., Cordova died Friday, December 8, 2006 at his home. He was born May 5, 1943 in Richmond County, a son of the late Robert N. and Bertie Stewart Beck. Mr. Beck was a member of Cordova Baptist Church and was a retired engineer with CSX Transportation. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 pm Monday, December 11th at Cordova Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Monroe officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife, Angela B. ‘Sissy’ Beck of the home; five daughters, Melissa Smith of Goose Creek, SC, Tammy Kelsey and Angela Bates, both of Rockingham, Kimberly Cline of Summerville, SC and Sherry Flinchum of Asheboro; one son, Jamie Jones of Wadesboro; fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two brothers, Toby Beck of Cordova and Franklin Beck of Goldsboro. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Carter Funeral Home.
