John Wesley Williams

John Wesley “Jake”Williams, 80, of 103 Goodman St. Rockingham, died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. Williams was born September 29, 1926 in Richmond County a son of the late Raleigh and Della Moore Williams. He was of the FreeWill Baptist Faith and a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Silas, Benny, Gilbert and Luther Williams and sisters, Mary Emily Stevens and Corrine Reynolds. Surviving are his wife Beatrice Wright Williams , daughters, Margaret Dailey and Anita Bolger both of Rockingham, Brothers, Harper Williams of Danville, VA, Fordie Williams of Rockingham, a sister, Havannah Henry of Tarboro, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will see friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the Bolger Home, 1001 Ann St. Rockingham.
