Melba Kay Campbell Vallance, 56, of 144 Amber Way, Rockingham died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Mrs. Vallance was born October 11, 1950 in Anson County, a daughter of the late Charles and Josephine Threadgill Campbell. She was a member of Roberdel Baptist Church and was a beautician. Surviving are her daughters, Amanda Vallance and Charlene Vallance Gillmore both of Rockingham, her sister, Julia Perkins of Rockingham and 2 grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday at Roberdel Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Smith, Rev. Charles Larrimore and Rev. Thad Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in Sandy Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery in Anson County. The family will see friends from 6:30 – 8:30 PM Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at the home on Amber Way.
