Bessie Stephens Paul

Bessie S. Paul Mrs. Bessie Jane Stephens Paul, 87, of Corona, California, formerly of Rockingham died Monday, February 5, 2007 in San Bernadino, California. Mrs. Paul was born August 18, 1920 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of the late John and Lois Byrd Stephens. She had retired from Beauknit Manufacturing Company and previously had worked in the Safie and Aleo Mills as well as Sandhurst Hosiery. Surviving are her son, William “ Buddy” Jackson Jr. of Rockingham, her daughter, Phyllis Goodwin of Norco, CA, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Benoist officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
