Anita Jordan Webster, of Hamlet, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on January 25, 1959, in Scotland County, North Carolina, Anita was a beloved member of her community and attended Grace Fellowship Church, where her faith was an essential part of her life.
Anita dedicated many years to her career, starting with Burlington Industries, where she made lifelong memories with her colleagues. Later, she enjoyed working at A&P grocery and Lowe's, where her friendly demeanor and work ethic were deeply appreciated. Yet, Anita’s proudest accomplishments were her family, especially the joy she found in her grandchildren and great-grandson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Roger D. Webster; her sons, Michael Webster (Candy) and Roger D. Webster, Jr. (Amy); and her daughter, Angela Webster. Grandchildren Jeremy Webster (Amber), Jackson Webster, Cody Webster (Eisley), Alexis Webster, Haley Huffman, and Tyler Huffman will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Additionally, Anita is survived by her father, Leroy Jordan; and her brothers, Richard Jordan and Tony Jordan. She will also be missed by her great-grandson, Jed Webster. Anita was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Bennett Jordan.
In her leisure time, Anita enjoyed listening to murder podcasts and watching General Hospital, which brought her much delight and relaxation. Her warm spirit and passion for life touched everyone around her, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Grace Fellowship Church, located at 217 Midway Road, Rockingham, NC 28379. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
Anita Jordan Webster will be lovingly remembered for her nurturing spirit, unwavering love for her family, and her vibrant personality that brightened the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will endure for generations to come.
