Beatrice Quick Bowman

Beatrice Quick Bowman, 86, passed away at her home Tuesday, April 2, 2019. She was born in Richmond County on December 20, 1932, the daughter of the late Edmond and Rosa Berry Quick. She was the widow of the late Andy Bowman who died April 10, 1996. They had been married almost 50 years at the time of his passing.

Mrs. Bowman was a retired C.N.A. with Richmond Memorial Hospital. Following that retirement, she worked at Cauthen Drive Group Home. As long as her health permitted, she was a faithful member of Jefferson Park Free Will Baptist Church.

Her memory will be cherished by her four sons: Wayne Bowman of Hamlet, Tony Bowman (Alicia) of Henderson, Russell “Rusty” Bowman (Lynn) of Rockingham and Jamie Bowman (Jean Davis) of Rockingham; four daughters: Linda Hatcher of Rockingham, Shelby Jean Leviner (Wayne) of Hamlet, Vickie Bowman (Joey) and Gerri Bowman, both of Rockingham; two sisters, Minnie Thompson of Hamlet and Doris Quick of Aberdeen; plus 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Quick, and two sisters, Ruth Lamonds and Alice Quick.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, April 4, at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham. The funeral service will be conducted in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, officiated by Rev. Joe B. Wilkes, Jr. Interment will follow in the Northam Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.

Serving as pallbearers are A. J. Jenkins, Joey Bowman, J. B. Bowman, Chad Bowman, Troy Leviner, Tommy Leviner, T. J. Bowman and Michael Rivera.
