Bernie Shelton Fulp

Bernie Shelton Fulp, 93, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. 

Mr. Fulp was born April 3, 1930 in Richmond County, a son of the late Revie Osborne and Ida Elizabeth Shelton Fulp. He served his country in the US Navy, had been a member of Victory Baptist Church and spent 63 years in tile work. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, C.L., Bobby and Billy, and a sister, Lucille Mabe.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Locklear Fulp; children, Jason Fulp (BK), Carey Fulp, Joe Porter Sugg (Bucky), Mary Tyler (Jeff), Bob Sugg (Dawn) and Wayne Sugg (Tina); twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and sister, Elva Mabe.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Rev. Dalton Cranford and LukeVuncannon officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home of Wayne and Tina Sugg.
