Mrs. Bessie Roller, 86, passed away at Hospice Haven on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.She was born February 8, 1931 in Richmond County to the late Memory Gaston and Flossie Lee Williams. Mrs. Roller was employed by J. P. Stevens for approximately 20 years prior to her retirement. She served her Lord since 1952 at the Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband David Roller, four sisters, and one brother. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Jimmy) Quick, Tammy (Jeff) Benson, Robin (Dale) Dixon and one son, David T. Roller, all of Rockingham; granddaughters, Whitney (Bryan) McLaurin, Cameron (Chris) Whitley of Rockingham, grandsons, Lance (Heather) Quick of Winter Park, Fl., Eddie Thomas of Raleigh, NC; two great-grandsons, Tristan McLaurin, Holden Whitley, one great-granddaughter Brylee McLaurin of Rockingham. Funeral services will be held at the Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy, 139 Flowers Street in Rockingham on Thursday, at 2:00pm with Bishop Steven Gilmer and Bishop Fred Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 pm in the church sanctuary and at other times at the home.
