Betty Faye Hamilton, a beloved soul, passed away on May 9, 2024, at Richmond County Hospice Haven in Rockingham, North Carolina. She was a cherished maker who took pride in her home and the warmth she shared with all who entered.

Born on April 9, 1955, in Brown County, Ohio. Betty brought light into the world with her funny, kind, gentle, and loving nature. Her laughter was contagious, and her heartwarming personality made her a beacon of comfort to those around her.

Betty's memory will forever be intertwined with the joyful moments she created through fishing trips, cozy knitting sessions, and the intricate art of crow-shay. Her love for being outdoors reflected her vibrant spirit and passion for simple pleasures.

In Betty's life story, family played a central role. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles Liming and Kathryn Marie Lindsey, siblings, Mickey, David, Kathy, and Nancy.

Betty is survived by her devoted son, Jason Hamilton (Wendy Silva), who she nurtured with unwavering love and dedication. Her grandchildren, Javen Hamilton (Alicia) and  Kayla Marie Burriss (Josh) held a special place in her heart, as did her great-grandchildren Hayden Burriss and Kaisyn Burriss.

The bond of siblings is an unbreakable one, and Betty is survived by her dear siblings: Wes Cochran (Nancy), Bonnie McKibben (Jerry), Dola Holt Jr. (Lisa), Trena Jenkins (Jerry), Cindy Holt (Randy), Pam Holt, Michael Holt (Sandy), along with Tammy- all of whom shared in Betty's joys and sorrows throughout life.

Lilly the canine companion also mourns the loss of her loyal friend who found solace and companionship in each wag of Lilly's tail.

Betty Faye Hamilton's legacy is one of love that transcends time and space. Her presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all those privileged to have known her. In every knitted scarf she gifted or in the laughter shared during fishing trips, Betty's essence lives on—a testament to a life well-lived in grace and kindness.

May we find solace in the memories we shared with Betty and carry forth her spirit of love and joy as we navigate life's journey ahead. Rest in peace, dear Betty Faye Hamilton
