Betty Jean McInnis Jenkins

Betty Jean McInnis Jenkins entered the heavenly gates to her forever home on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Betty Jean was the third child born to William Angus and Jessie Rush McInnis, on January 15, 1934. She was a tomboy and, even in adulthood, enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard and taking walks. Other hobbies included sewing, quilting, reading, and puzzles.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Lewis Jenkins, a sister Louise Jordan, three brothers, Reece, Bobby, and Charles McInnis, and many loved aunts, uncles, and friends.

Left to cherish Betty Jean’s memories are her daughter, Donna Hudson, her son Doug Jenkins; grandchildren, Crystal Greene (Richard), Chad Hudson (Ashleigh), Paige O’Brien (Justin), Jared Jenkins (Casey), and Ryan Jenkins (Tera); nine great grandchildren; a sister, Cathy Greene, brother and sisters-in-law Jean Hartsell, Barbara Kendall, Sally Jenkins, Mary Jo Beck, and Andy Jenkins (Vivian); and an aunt Sarah Williams.

A service to celebrate Betty Jean’s life will be held at Saron Baptist Church, Ellerbe, on Sunday, April 28^th. The family will receive friends from 1:45~2:45 p.m. in the sanctuary, with service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Other times, the family will be at her home.
