Blake Garrett Taylor

Blake Garrett Taylor, 18, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Blake was born February 12, 2003 in Richmond County to Brad Steven and Jennifer Stutts Taylor. He graduated from Richmond Senior High School, Class of 2021. He worked with Carolina Power as an apprentice lineman and was to be a fourth generation lineman. He enjoyed 4-wheelers, dirt bike racing, fishing, kayaking, loved his Chevrolet truck and never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Brad and Jennifer Taylor; siblings, Camden Taylor, Mason Taylor and Kinley Taylor; fiancé, Katie Hicks; maternal grandparents, Steve and Kim Stutts; paternal grandparents, Ellis and Del Garris; best friends, Tyler Nifong and Brenon Bullard, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A service giving thanks for and in celebration of Blake’s life will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2022 in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. He will be laid to rest in Eastside Cemetery following the service.

Friends and family will gather at Carter Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and at other times at the home.
