Cozette Cooke Rush

Cozette Cooke Rush, 94, of Ellerbe, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

Mrs. Rush was born January 12, 1928 in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late William Arnold and Miranda Thompson Cooke. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Ellerbe and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Rush, Jr., daughter, Trudy Ann Rush, four brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are her children, Barbara Bowman (Michael), Ginger Hoffman and Terry Rush; grandchildren, Sabrina Bowden (Steven) and Justin Adcock; great grandchildren, Cierra Davenport (Trey) and Stephen Bowden; great great grandchildren, Chloe Bowden, Noah Bowden and Kynleigh Davenport and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Ellerbe with Rev. Stan Layton and Rev. James Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.

The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

At the request of the family face masks are required for the services.
