David Jeffery Keller

David Jeffery Keller, 61, of Ellerbe, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.

Mr. Keller was born May 10, 1961 in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl, a son of Mary Jo Story Keller and the late Ralph Gaither Keller. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a truck driver for many years with AAFES and following retirement operated Etown Trucking. He enjoyed Harley Davidsons, yard sales, auctions and flea markets, and was an avid member of FirstHealth Fitness Center. He often said his greatest achievement was his children. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Keller.

Surviving are his children, Jennifer Rhyne (Matthew), Amy Wright (Bronson), Melissa Foster (James), Buffy McKenzie (Gene), Tara Keller, and David Keller, Jr.; 16 grandchildren; mother, Mary Jo Keller; brother, Darrell Keller (Tina), sister, Judy Earnhardt (Mark), and his best friend, Gene Haywood.

A service to celebrate his life will be at 6:00 pm Thursday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe with Pastor Marvin Taylor officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at his home.
