Dotelene "Dot" McFayden Nicholson

Dotelene “Dot” McFayden Nicholson, 94, of Ellerbe, completed her earthly journey on Friday, August 30, 2024.

Mrs. Nicholson was born February 9, 1930 in Richmond County, NC, a daughter of the late Lonnie Angus and Lessie Harris McFayden. She was a longtime member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church where she was a choir member, Sunday school teacher and member of the Women of the Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Marie Nicholson, Shirley Covington, Helen Covington, George McFayden, Buford McFayden and Ronald McFayden. 

Surviving are her husband, James M. Nicholson; daughter, Linda Nicholson (Carl Mabe); grandson, Ben Stamets (Carla); great grandchildren, Ava and Wesley Stamets and many nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, September 14, 2024 in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. James Watson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
