Esty Lorraine Watson

Esty Lorraine Watson, 68, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond Campus.

Mr. Watson was born June 9, 1953 in Cheraw, SC, a son of the late Ben Thomas and Ollie May Watson. He attended Good News Free Will Baptist Church and retired from the Richmond County Water Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Watson, step son Robby Braswell, brother, Miles “Jimmy” Watson and sister, Barbara Johnson.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Nina Faye Frazier Watson; daughter, Tammy Honeycutt (Matt), stepson, Ricky Braswell (Bernice); grandchildren, Cheyanne Watson, Savannah Watson, Hunter Braswell, Felicia Braswell, Dakota Honeycutt, Richie Braswell and Regina Braswell and sister, Becky Leviner (Robert).

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, January 31, 2022 at Northam Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Smith and Rev. Donnie Nuttall officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Monday at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
