Farrell Elaine Hardin Poole, a remarkable woman whose legacy will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her, was born on August 26, 1930, in Richmond County, North Carolina. She peacefully departed this life on January 18, 2025, at Richmond County Hospice Haven in Rockingham, North Carolina, leaving behind a profound impact and cherished memories for her family and friends.

Farrell was the epitome of kindness and embodying a spirit that was fun-loving and approachable. Her warmth drew others to her, making her presence a comforting light in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. As a dedicated educator working for the Richmond County School system, she touched the lives of countless students, instilling in them the value of learning and the importance of compassion. Farrell obtained her Master’s degree in education with a Minor in Music, and her pride in teaching was matched only by her love for her family.

Family was at the heart of Farrell’s life. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Wayne Poole (Betty), Leo Poole (Renae), and David Poole (Laura), daughter, Alice Poole along with her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Each whom carries with them the lessons and love generously imparted by their mother throughout their lives. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Larry Hardin, who shares the fond memories of their upbringing.

Farrell is now reunited with many loved ones who have passed before her, including her devoted husband, Cicero Pleasant "Pleas" Poole, and her parents, John Douglas Hardin and Myrtle McCaskill Hardin. She also holds a special place in the memories of her deceased siblings, Mack Hardin, Bruce Hardin, and Marlyn Lassiter.

In her free time, Farrell enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, often found putting together puzzles and cherishing moments spent with her family. These hobbies reflect her nurturing nature and the value she placed on connection and togetherness.

Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate Farrell's life during her funeral service at Noon on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Stewart officiating , visitation will be held from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Farrell Elaine Hardin Poole lived a life full of purpose, love, and joy. Her legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of her children and all those she inspired throughout her years. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit of love and kindness endures, and she will be dearly missed.
