George Marcus Benfield

 George Marcus Benfield, 40 of Rockingham passed away on Sunday August 29,2021. George was born on March 24, 1981 in Rockingham, the son of Samuel Mark Benfield and the late Lavonne Kelly Benfield.  He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Katja Kurth Benfield; son Neriah Benfield; daughter Elisabeth Benfield; father Samuel Mark Benfield(Sandy); sister Georgia Gillis-Van Buren; brother Kent Gillis(Kelli) and many other relatives and close friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday September 3,2021 at 10:00am by the graveside at Haywood Cemetery with Rev. Jason Lutz officiating followed by military honors.
