Gerald Lee Stutts, 75, of Ellerbe passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 surrounded by his family.

 

Gerald was born on May 5, 1945 in Moore County a son of the late Coy Melvin Stutts and Carrie Octavia Hall Stutts. He was a machinist in the textiles industry. He continued his education in many fields including culinary school. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lee Stutts, and a sister Shirley Joann Hill.

 

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Faye Stutts; children, Wendy Stutts(Talmadge Ward) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Patrick Gray Stutts(Nikki)of Siler City, Cambi Powell(Marcus)of Ellerbe, Gary Sheffield of Siler City, fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and brothers, Phillip Stutts(Faye) and Danny Stutts.

 

The family will greet friends and family at Derby Baptist Church from 2:00 -3:00 prior to the service on Sunday May 2, 2021 and other times at the home.

 

Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday at Derby Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Carpenter and Reverend Thomas Mingin officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

 

Due to Covid-19 facial coverings and social distancing is required.
