Glenda Faye Taylor Stewart

Glenda Faye Taylor Stewart, 83, of Ellerbe passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Stewart was born August 1, 1938 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Carl Hunter and Lois Covington Taylor. She was a homemaker and secretary and bookkeeper having worked for Richmond County Extension Service, Ellerbe Tobacco Warehouses, Stewart Construction and Bulldozing, Stewart Farms and H&R Block. She was a member of Ellerbe First United Methodist Church and had attended Crestview Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spoiling her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor Stewart.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, David C. Stewart; children, David C. Stewart, Jr. (Tammy), Tim Stewart (Michelle), Tommy Stewart (Annette) and Susan Smith (Bob); grandchildren, Ashley Strangman (Mat), Dusty Stewart, Lewis Stewart (McKenzie), Holli Stewart (Chris), Hunter Carriker (Lauren), Meghan Martin (Adam), Walker Stewart, Jennifer Braswell and Brandon Braswell and great grandchildren, Gage Stewart, Addi Rae Martin, Eligh Martin, Kason Stewart, Ivy Stewart, Timber Lane, Lanta Braswell and Jaylyn Braswell.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Ellerbe Cemetery with Rev. Robby Stewart officiating. The family will greet friends following the service and at other times at the home.
