Gloria Diana (Tremblay) MacDonald, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Richmond Hospice Haven. She was a native of Massachusetts, born January 7, 1942, a daughter of the late Alexander Tremblay and Barbara Hull Tremblay. She and her husband, James MacDonald, had been residents of Rockingham since 2008.
Gloria’s working years were spent in healthcare. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for various hospitals and home health agencies in both Vermont and North Carolina. She was of the Catholic faith and she enjoyed knitting and making things for her family.
She is survived by her husband of almost 57 years, James; one daughter, Terri Steele and husband, Brooke, of Middlesex, VT; one son, James George MacDonald and wife, Celine, of Barre, VT; two grandchildren, Brayden Steele and Jada MacDonald; one sister, Jean Marie Sjoquist of Port Charlotte, FL; two brothers, Russell Tremblay and wife, Debbie of Graniteville, VT, and Roger Tremblay and wife, Joanne, of Websterville, VT; and sisters-in-law, Yvonne Tremblay and Sandy Tremblay.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and David Tremblay and a brother-in-law, Merv Sjoquist.
The family will have services at a later date in Vermont.
