Hal Maree, 87, of Rockingham, completed his earthly journey on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
Mr. Maree was born, April 28, 1934 in Anson County, a son of the late Lona Helen Maree Butler. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force for over 20 years. Following his retirement from the US Air Force, he had worked with Laurel Hill Paper Co. for many years. He was a longtime member of Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Faircloth Maree,a daughter, Debra Kay Maree and siblings, Betty Williams, Gary Butler, Richard Butler, Linda Butler and Johnny Butler.
Surviving are his wife, Christine Poston Powell Maree; children, Randall Maree and Lisa Honeycutt; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Ruth Steele (Virgil) and Judy Smith; step-children, Gayle Sanford (Tommy) and Julia Hileman (Curtis); 3 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church with Rev. James Croke officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
