Helen Benoist Lampley

Helen Benoist Lampley, 85, of Rockingham, completed her earthly journey on Thursday, June 17, 2021.

Mrs. Lampley was born August 2, 1935 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Clyde L. and Nancy Catherine Watts Benoist. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby C. Lampley; a son, Bobby C. Lampley, Jr. and siblings, Rev. Grady Benoist, Curtis Benoist, Bobby Benoist, Charles Benoist, Ronald Benoist, Jesse Benoist, Bill Benoist, Don Benoist and Thomas Benoist and Sarah C. Benoist.

Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Thompson (Nicky); 3 grandchildren, Jan Hawkins (Chris), Holly Page and Jonathan Thompson (Lauren); great grandson Jack Hawkins and brother, Rev. Kenneth Benoist.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at Richmond County Memorial Park. Please feel free to bring a lawn chair to the service.

The family will greet friends from 12:30 – 1:30 pm Saturday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at Debbie and Nicky’s home.
